How
you can Help
Subscriber.
Donor. Sponsor. Advertiser. Volunteer. Friend. No matter
what you call yourself, you can play a part in our future success.
Here are some examples, and were open to any you come
up with too.
Give
to the Annual Fund. You dont have to wait
for a letter. We have already received many generous
gifts for our 2002-2003 annual fund. You can make a
tax-deductible contribution to the Shreveport Symphony
Orchestra in any of these ways:
Cash
Gifts: Make your check payable to the Shreveport Symphony
Orchestra. Be sure to write "Annual Fund" on the
check. Then send it to: Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, P.O.
Box 205, Shreveport, LA 71162-0205
Gifts
of Stock: When you donate appreciated stock, you pay
no capital gains tax on the appreciation, but you get tax
credit for the full donation based on the average price
on the date it was sold. Call us for more details.
Pledges
of Support: If you cant make a cash contribution now,
call or write us with your pledge of a future gift. Well
remind you when the time comes.
BUY
TICKETS. BUY TICKETS. BUY TICKETS. If youre already
a subscriber, buy an extra subscription, some Anytime Tickets
or single-concert tickets. Give them to a friend or a co-worker
or a stranger. Once they hear this incredible orchestra, we
think theyll buy their own tickets!
If
you arent already a subscriber, join us. Buy a single-concert
ticket or pick out a few more. We have flexible plans to help
you sample the Symphony..
Help
us sell tickets. Ask your friends to buy. Join our volunteer
sales corps and help make telephone calls asking for new ticket
orders.
Support
our fundraising activities. Were looking forward to
a major fundraising concert coordinated by our musicians and
our gala will feature the musicians, an incredible silent audition
and a live auction like no other. Stay tuned for details.
Host
a musician. If you can host an out-of-town musician for
up to four nights, please call or write the Symphony office
at 222-7496. Musicians are typically in town for up to four
nights. Theyll need a private place to sleep and practice.
Work
in the Symphony office. Can you answer a phone or type on
a computer? Were recruiting volunteers to help with routine
office tasks. If you can do this on a somewhat regular basis,
please give us a call.
Give
us your ideas. If you have ideas of how to save or raise
money, please dont hesitate to call, send a letter or
e-mail us.
